Cold pitch templates that actually get replies

Three battle-tested templates you can adapt to any brand.

Last updated: May 14, 2026

Most cold pitches die because they're long, vague, and self-centered. The ones that work are short, specific, and brand-first.

Template 1 — The micro-case-study

Subject: Drove 480 sign-ups for [similar brand] last month

Hi [name], I noticed [brand] just launched [product]. Last month I ran a similar campaign for [comparable brand] and it drove 480 sign-ups at $4 CPA. I think the same angle would work for you. Free to share the post and rough plan if useful?

Template 2 — The cultural hook

Subject: A [seasonal moment] idea for [brand]

Hi [name], with [holiday/event] coming up I've been planning a [format] series and immediately thought of [brand]. My audience is 68% [demo] and overlaps heavily with your core buyer. Want me to send the storyboard?

Template 3 — The no-ask intro

Subject: Loved your [recent thing]

Hi [name], saw [recent campaign / launch / hire] — well done. Not pitching anything today, just wanted to say I'm a fan and would love to be on your radar for [category]. Quick stats below if helpful.

Universal rules

  • Subject under 8 words.
  • Body under 80 words.
  • One specific number (audience, performance, demo).
  • One clear, low-friction CTA.
